Our weekly customer service story is here again. this time is for week 5. The Manager of the Engineering school had wanted 4 laser pointer pen which was already ordered and was on the way. Hence, Alvin called the supplier to check when he is able to receive the goods. The supplier said that the earliest she could was to deliver them on Friday on the condition that the pens had no NYP Logo on it. Thus, Alvin emailed the manager to update him about the situation. When the manager agreed, Alvin then updated the Manager on the stock status daily. On Friday morning, the Manager came to the store. However, the stocks were not ready in store yet. Hence, Alvin promised to deliver the goods to the manager and he agreed.
Learning point:We learnt that Customer Service is flexible. It is just whether you are willing to go the extra mile or not.
